Thanks for all your help with this issue. I could unpack the other printer in my garage, but I only want to do this when my current printer is absolutely down. I will try this again in a few days after I finish this job that I have tomorrow as I need a reliable printer to print my customer's photos.

I connected a USB cable and the software could not find my printer.

So, delete all previous drivers and let the good one be all that is left.

I have had problems if the computer arbitrarily chooses one of the drivers that was not working. You can safely delete all previous versions of driver. In printer preferences here is what (on a mac) it looks like: Note to establish a wireless connection, it must first be with the USB connection. From your above post, it is not clear if you resolved the wireless connection issue or not but, if not, just go back to the start, here is a site explaining how it should be done. I would not give up on wirelessly using printer. What solution can I use to clean the print head safely? Is there anyway to clean this print head, let it dry out, put it in it's print head bag and use it when the new one complains? So I have a new print head in my printer that probably was not needed and I have a used print head that I would like to keep for an emergency. I exited the software setup and then selected use USB Cable only and the software installed with no errors and I have done a successful nozzle check. I then tried to setup the printer for wireless connectivity using the USB cable and it could not find the printer. I deleted both Canon Pro-100 profiles from my Devices/Printers tab and then reinstalled the software from the Canon site. I don't know why this would be the case because my printer is in the same room as my router and has been working just fine for the past 6 months. I am convinced that my original sin with this printer was bad wireless connectivity.

Works fine and is a bit quicker than it was with wireless. I tried several things but gave up and plugged it in since I just wanted to print.

I have the printer configured as Wireless and my software is running on a Windows 10 computer.Īfter my windows 10 upgrade I could not get my printer to work wirelessly. I have a photo shoot this Wednesday and will need to have this resolved by Thursday so I can print out my customer's photos from Wednesday's work. When I send a Nozzle Check to my Canon Pro-100, I get a "Printer Not Responding" error message.

I have configured the Canon Pro-100 Series and the Canon Pro-100 Series XPS printers. I exited the Network tool, turned off my printer and reran the Network tool and this time it says Status Available for both printers. I have run the Canon IJ Network tool and when I first ran it it responded back with "there are ports that can't be used with this printer". I have a new unused Canon Pro-100 in my garage that has not been used but wanted to troubleshoot what the heck is going on with my current printer that is less than one year old. I have a Canon Pro-100 Printer that has a new print head installed in it as of today because last week I was getting 10 orange flashes from the printer, which a trusted source mentioned meant a bad printer head.
